About the Author

Alessandro Bessi is an AI expert, data scientist, and software engineer whose work spans machine learning, complex systems, and the infrastructure required to make intelligent systems work in practice. He holds a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences and a master’s degree in Statistics, and has conducted international research in computer science at the University of Southern California. He is the author of more than forty scientific publications, cited thousands of times, with research covering misinformation, online social systems, and computational behaviour.
Since moving from academia into industry, he has worked on production machine-learning systems, AI products, cloud infrastructure, and tools designed to support better decisions and human development.
Beyond AI and software engineering, Alessandro’s interests include chess, music, endurance training, and drawing. Each offers a different way of exploring structure, adaptation, creativity, and disciplined practice.
